Is it common for pedal boxes to break on E30s too? I know that people reinforce the E28 ones, wonder if its all the same hardware.

I'm not sure if they are a common problem. I'm amazed that the rod broke though.

does your firewall have any accident damage causing the clutch masta to be mounted off on an angle from where BMW intended it to be?

I'm not sure. I know that the rear end was hit but I can't say for the firewall

Duct tape is awesome.  Why is your shifter leaning so far forward?

I'll just buy red tape then use some then return it. Or I could color the tape with red sharpie?

i got excited today, because FedEx said my coils will be here. i rushed home after school to find nothing on my door step. since they didnt show up i started to get going on taking the front struts out.

the other strut was worse than the first one i pulled out. the outside of the strut shell was coated in the grease or oil that was inside when it wasn't blown. now im just waiting on FedEx to bring me my darn coilovers.

That makes me want to install one of those drop boxes for packages. Like the ones you use to put the block buster movies in.

so i thought i would jump start this thread again. since i put the coils in not much happened. i took it to dubs downtown and made it back in one piece. then my rear wheel fell off.....

after that the car was pulling hard to the left. once i put it away for winter i took out the rear axle and bearing. i decided to cut the boot open because i was curious. and i found  this.

                                          IMG10651zps9f887ae9.jpg

                                          i also dipped my car.

i guess it turned out alright. not sure if i like the "flat black" look.
