    E34 touring on hwy 16 in Pewaukee. Had style 5's and clear corners. Elderly man driving it.

          Correct.  It was a thing.  M52B25.  I think they were about 20hp shy of the M52b28 and M50b25

              Exactly, they didn't call it a 325 because it had less power than the m50b25, go figure...

                    Yea, they only made them from 96-99 in "is" form and up to 98 in sedan.  I'm not really sure why they felt they needed a model above a 318 but below the 328.  I wonder if they just had some bonus parts around and thought, "why the hell not"

                            The 323 and 328 replaced the 318 and 325 when the obd2 switch happened.  E46s also were 323 and 328 until the m54 engine switch in '01.  Then they were 325/330
