...black e28 m5...
har har
The one I saw had alpina/turbine/whatever-style wheels (sorry I don't care enough about wheels to know what they're called (stop making fun of me ;_;))

Not a BMW but still kinda cool. It's the first Tesla model x i've seen in the wild. They're as ugly as I thought.

crossover garbage!
the sloping roof line still looks awkward, no matter how many companies use it. you get such an oddly tall rear end. the ugliest car ever made (pontiac aztek) uses the same shape. its the worst of all worlds - less headroom, less visibility, less storage!
and the 'falcon' doors? can't wait till the complaints start coming in because people can't open the rear doors in their garages.

Interesting observation. Now im wondering if their self-parking mode was created to avoid this issue

No need to wait, multiple complaints already filed with the doors not closing completely and not sensing over hangs and hitting them. I believe i had heard there were key people from the team fired because of the quality issues. I may be wrong but i thought they had also ceased production for now until further quality issues are resolved.

Saw a black e28 m5 with M-system wheels near the state fair park
That was probably me. Not an m5 but a built up 535. There have been lots of changes this year and I will get some pics up for you guys when it is complete.

Best pre flight activity ever. I visited the LeMay car museum in Tacoma before heading to the airport and the happened to have a BMW exhibit going on

-
Wow! Is that exhibit touring elsewhere?
Not that I am aware of. The museum was great as a whole but the BMW exhibit was cool. I got to see a 507 and a 328 up close! Those and the m1 art car were my favorites.
