          Maximum turbo RPM?

While trying to find the answer to this question, I've determined that the tips of my compressor wheel will go supersonic somewhere around 117k rpm (±20-ish% depending on pressure and temperature...). This seems like it would be a Bad Thing™, and yet the compressor map goes up to 170k rpm without any disturbance is flow/efficiency.

Conclusion? I have no idea what I'm doing.

Best I can figure is that since the air is moving axially and not tangentially, it will never reach the speed of the compressor wheel... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've watched that video a couple times now. I have a few diff's waiting around for that treatment. Also a bucked of hardware to sort into bins too. I really need a permanent garage...

I would love to do this, but the internals make me nervous.

Same here but I figure worse case I can use a check book wrench to have it put back together properly.

He does brake calipers, and locktites the bleeder screws in for example.

For the most part though they're super cool to see.

325es and 325is were coupes with sport packages basically. I don't know all the details but sport seats, front valaence and trunk spoiler and most likely a LSD.
