I'm definitely getting a fresh set this year. I suspect part of the reason the e34 was so good was because the tires were fresh, not a year or two old like everyone else's. Plus I need to go down a size to keep them from rubbing now that the car is lowered. Looking at 185/65/15, was also considering Nokians, but I guess I'll have to do some research.

I've had a few different snow tires now. Altimax Arctics are still the best I've had.

"Tractionizer..." Seems legit...
Apparently CWSCC/FVSCC place them in the Unlimited class with studded tire cars, so they must make a big difference! Pretty neat stuff, I never would've thought that shredding your snow tires could make a difference like that.Ā

Seems like a good move. I can't imagine they last long on pavement after being torn up like that.

I'd imagine they'd get shredded pretty quickly on normal roads haha. I wonder if it needs to be done on newĀ tires or if you could do it to a worn set and have some fun before getting rid of them.

I'll just leave this here
Kit lens ftw
I like the soot cleaned off of only half of the window.

Haha, I wish that was the case, but that is just dust from sitting around forever.

I drove ~30 hours round trip to New York this weekend to pick up a 2013 X5 M-Sport. Turned out to be a polished turd that had been in a really, really bad accident at some point. After pointing out all the flaws to the kid that owned the small used car dealership, we both agreed it wasn't worth nearly what he was asking. We still couldn't agree on a price, and I drove back home empty handed. The trip cost me ~$1,000 and he wouldn't even refund my deposit. 10/10 douche.Ā First time I've ever had to dispute a credit card charge.
Just thought I'd share how crappy my last weekend was. At least I stopped at Niagara Falls on the way back home and got to see the falls illuminated while fireworks went off. That was pretty cool. If anyone has a lead on a 2012 or 2013 X5 35i with M-Sport package, cold weather package, convenience package, technology package, heated steering wheel with paddle shifters and heated/cooled/massage front seats... let me know. I know I'm looking for a unicorn, so I'll be looking for a while. Will spend up to $25k.

The cooled/massage front seats are gonna be the hardest to find outside of a X5M. I canāt recall seeing many m sport 35iās either but good luck with your search! Ā Itās a great SUV.
Believe it or not, I see more cooled/massage front seats than heated steering wheels for the M-Sports. The combo I'm looking for is out there, I just have to be patient.
I suck at being patient...
