It's for a test fixture I'm building for work. I'll post some pictures of it next week when it's done. It's been a learning experience, but  I think I in the end it will be pretty bad-ass. Especially compared to some of the garbage I've seen passed of as "test fixtures" in the past (think: elmers glue and popsicle sticks).

Come to think of it, I should really take pictures of some of our existing fixtures. One of them literally has a clothes-pin as a major component of it's design 😅

Someone posted this on BF and thought it was worth a share. Seems to be a Google Chrome plugin fix for the photobucket fiasco. I haven't tried it myself, but others have said it worked for them.

Worked for me, so when will photobucket figure out how people are getting around it and change something...

                                      1/4" aluminum plate on deck.

saftey glasses on, one hand on the e-stop, the other one's holding a beer.

                                        Does it cut aluminum? Yes.

Is it a good idea? Well...

I broke a .113" drill bit. As the bit goes through the back of the plate it starts to grab and it bogs down the router. Machine flex also may be a factor, but regardless, drilling seems like a bad idea.

Milling went okay. The hole sizes came out pretty accurate, but the outer circle isn't very round. 0.015" difference between the smallest and largest diameter. Not sure whether that's flex or a calibration issue. Will have to do some digging...

Regardless, I have car parts now that I didn't have 2 hours ago. 👍
