I start June 1st so I have some time to finish the house. Yes I will finally see the spam museum. I have worked for Hormel for 5 years but never been to Austin to see the museum. Now to find some shop space there.

      Friday finally!!!

Possibly my last Friday as a carpenter.

Supposed to be switching to ironworkers union next week (Monday) or the week after.

Pay is close.....I think a dollar an hour more.

      Benefits......much better!!!

      What prompted the switch?

A good majority of the work I do in the door industry would be considered ironworkers work.

Rolling doors, high speed doors, fabricating, dock equiptment, etc.

The carpenters and ironworkers unions both recognize that there aren't enough of either to do all the work. "Composite crews" (one of each) are allowed. Hiring guys out of the union halls can be hit or miss when it comes to door experience....more miss honestly.

With me having 20yrs experience and approx 20 more years to work it makes good sense to switch and be a "company" iromworker.

        Hope this makes sense.

Wife's DD is a Honda Odyssey. I'd imagine the topics are very similar!!

The Odyssey does have something like 18 cup holders......kids and wife complained when I bought the Touring...."where do you put your drinks?"

                No drinks I said!!!

Back ones were inoperable when I bought it, 1 front one as well.

My wife complained about the cup holders in my e36's... rightfully so.  Now she complains about the cup holders in my e90 because they wouldn't hold a 24oz traveling mug she had!  I'm just happy that I can put a 16oz can in them without spilling!

Technically if you unclog the drain to the crapper it does go "faster"........

Wire all receptacles for 240 volts. The appliances that don't fry will run faster.

Did it get hit by a train at an amusement park? That isnt even close to the damage Id expect from a car that was "hit by a train" even it it just winged it and spun it around.

Sucks for the owner though.. I mean what are the chances he'll ever find another decent condition grey Camry to replace it with?!?!?
