I polished with buffing wheels and rouges. Then went with mothers. I used all of my sharkhide up due to messing up the coat a few times on my last wheel. Buy the quart, you'll have enough to do the wheels. I believe it is holding up fine. You just need to make sure that you don't get bubbles. They'll pop over time and leave an unprotected area.

Not really. It is if it gets a bubble, but otherwise it sort of soaks in. Its hard to explain.

Like crap. Since it is on so thin it is slowly wearing away. I need to peel it and paint some panels to be glorious black again.

You cant spray it on thicker to make it last longer? How many coats did you use?

I only used 14 cans. That's less than a third of what is recommended on dipyourcar.com

3 gallons will go on great and last a long while

At that point I'd rather use a vinyl wrap and have it last 4+ years 😕

Vinyl wrap is also about $400 minimum if you do it yourself and over a grand to have it professionaly applied. Vinyl is also harder to apply right.

Broke this morning. My passenger side strut failed this morning. I'm not sure exactly how. All I know from a quick glimpse is that my lower suspension looks just fine, but the spring looks bound and bent from being super compressed. Either the strut blew out magically or the shaft snapped. I'll have to get it home after work and take it apart to fully see the issue. Great way to start the Friday off=/ If anyone have stock e36 front strut assemblies laying around I would appreciate it very much if I could borrow them until I get a coilover to replace it.

Tire rubs on the inner fender so it wasn't all that driveable except to get it.off the road when it broke, and then onto the flatbed. Who is Stephen Soyk?
