Just bought my E30 and would like to install an aftermarket stereo head unit that I have. I discovered that it doesn't wire up like the 5 series E34's I had in Germany a short while back. I've done a couple of hours worth of research on the internet and haven't found out much other than that there doesn't seem to be an aftermarket wiring harness adapter for these cars, and that most people seem to recommend re-wiring the entire stereo system.

Although re-wiring the thing may be the best alternative, I'm not a electrical wizard by any means. I can do most other things with the car, but wiring and electrical I don't mess with much unless it's crazy simple.

I'd like to do this without re-wiring the system. Can anyone give me some good instructions on how to do this? Basically need to know which wires on the stereo head unit go to which wires in the car.

    Thanks.

    Eric
