There, I got  to use the "confused" reaction.
Its either just a plain hole that lets the screw act like a self-tapping sheetmetal screw, or the Germans are trolling us hard.

It's a metal threaded hole. The elevator bolt cleanly threaded in and out. I'll grab a picture later.

Picked these up today. They we're for sale on the fourn awhile back I guess nobody bought them.

He said he was getting hit up from all over the US for people wanting to buy them and ship them.

He included some free M3 trim to see if I can salvage them. The plastic ridges on the back of the trim are rotten.

Anyone have an idea on how to mount them without damaging my paint? I was thinking along the lines of 3m tape or some sort of adhesive.8f70d1b5c22c9533d63c5ac1012af6e2.jpg2b96fbd846b4ffa862f97c6fb1984514.jpg08384ee5a6780ce05536bf086d03efc5.jpg1444ff936c85e4ba1c3f177b1ee26bde.jpgc076e3ffefb83378f179cc8eb3e36027.jpg55f86e7271887c80b8956f9ff367bdb8.jpgc3ab9765c024a27cfbc890f6787d82e4.jpg

Drove 4 hours to get this. 5 minutes before I got there he accidentally dropped it so I got a discount and he tig welded it back up. I'd say I got a good deal...6df40c159918ef0d33f20828adc46dc4.jpg48d2a552b6ab866d3593df9bae835a3e.jpg53420a89724b2dae84774826efa571fe.jpg53bd443871799f183a66f01cb2230357.jpg

Well that didn't last long.... I didn't prime it... I was convinced by my dad to get it professionally sprayed. Going to go around to local body shops tomorrow afternoon to get quotes for the bumper.

Anyone know what A good quote would be?

Yea something that size is probably $250 - $300.  Take the whole car if possible so they can match the existing paint.

I paid a local buddy $300 to prep, paint, and clear my E90 bumper.

Yep spot on estimates, I went to 2 shops quotes ranging from 250-400. The guy with the 350-400 quote didn't seem very interested. Im going to stop by a few more shops tomorrow and see what they say.

If any of these places are little ma and pa shops it couldn't hurt to ask if there is a cash price.

I'm going to be stopping at 2 smaller shops this afternoon. I'll definitely ask if there is a cash price. My overall goal is to get a price under 250$ probably won't happen but doesn't hurt to try.

Some times the cheapest one isn't always the best, but sometimes it is. Just be prepared. Sometime the most expensive isn't the best.

A coworker of mine knows the guy you owns the Maaco in New Berlin and they do fantastic paint work. It is the second largest grossing Maaco in the nation. They do all the dealership cars around the area as well. Just because it says Maaco, doesn't mean its always a $500 paint job.

A coworker of mine knows the guy you owns the Maaco in New Berlin and they do fantastic paint work. It is the second largest grossing Maaco in the nation. They do all the dealership cars around the area as well. Just because it says Maaco, doesn't mean its always a $500 paint job.

Yeah I see nothing wrong with Macco to get a panel painted. My only problem is the nearest one is about an hour away.
