Maybe not 'rare' but still fairly difficult to find in 17"/E36 fitment, they're one of my favorite OEM wheel options!

I guess we can call them Very Difficult to find.

When you look up "Style 32 17x7.5 17x8.5 +41" on google the top site is Wibimmers.

Anyway. I made a DIY clutch stop today.

Just as simple as a 3/8 -16 x 1-1/2 Elevator Bolt, nut and chair foot grip thing.

What keeps the elevator bolt from just falling out? will you tack weld the nut to the floor/firewall?

I was thinking about making one but haven't looked into it much yet.

It literally just screws in. I could add some loctite but it should be fine for now.

So you're saying that they used a Standard threaded boss in the floor of our cars?

There, I got  to use the "confused" reaction.

Its either just a plain hole that lets the screw act like a self-tapping sheetmetal screw, or the Germans are trolling us hard.

It's a metal threaded hole. The elevator bolt cleanly threaded in and out. I'll grab a picture later.

Had one many moons ago, didn’t enjoy it.

Picked these up today. They we're for sale on the fourn awhile back I guess nobody bought them.

He said he was getting hit up from all over the US for people wanting to buy them and ship them.

He included some free M3 trim to see if I can salvage them. The plastic ridges on the back of the trim are rotten.

Anyone have an idea on how to mount them without damaging my paint? I was thinking along the lines of 3m tape or some sort of adhesive.

Drove 4 hours to get this. 5 minutes before I got there he accidentally dropped it so I got a discount and he tig welded it back up. I'd say I got a good deal...

Clean it up with some fine steel wool and some rubbing/polishing compound? Nice score, cant go wrong with any Dinan stuff

You know shit is serious when it's in the shower. Had to clean it off after wetsanding. Hopefully laying some primer down tomorrow.
