I saw the arctic 12. They basically advertised better tire life and road noise so that means harder rubber and less aggressive tread pattern. Which means worse traction.

this cold snap is absurd, but should set us up for the winter as far as ice goes. it will be nice is Sinnisippi stays frozen since that is so much closer to MKE

If you walk the course, check if the snow formed ice curbs and avoid them like the Black Plague
