That's an N54 - and yes, it seems to be a decent deal. Going price is around $2,500.

Whats the differences just looking at it? I just looked up the year and model and it said it was a N55.

They are pretty different, visually. Single vs. twin as well.

No worries! I'm happy to share my knowledge on the N5x platform. Most of you guys have the older stuff and I don't know anything about it, lol. I bought an E30 once and couldn't get it to run. An M20 and an M50 are the same in my eyes.

I clicked on the website.  They want $25 to register and "search" inventory.  Wonder how legit it is?

Looks like a scam. If you go on their website they want you to give them your cc and charge $25 just to be able to search.

They're very similar but the n55 had a plethora of changes made to it.  The most obvious being the number of turbo's but they also switched to Bosch solenoid style DI injectors instead of Piezo style, valvetronic added (updated vanos), new head design, all new internals with same dimensions, new DME, etc.

If you want reliability, yea lol.  The n54 will still make a ton more power but there's a price to play.
