My M5 sat outside for 2 years because of this.
well, that's just bad planning - you can't plop a project car in every available garage spot lol
also, does your lady not demand her everyday car be inside the garage during the winter? better yet, why haven't you offered to put the e30 outside and let her have BOTH spots. instant relationship hero status.
I don't win much in my relationship with my wife but the garage has always been mine. My argument was that I actually cared about my cars and the condition they were in. She didn't have a garage spot until we bought our own house.

We had a one car garage in Platteville. That's where the BMW stays, warm and dry all winter. Now we have a 2 car garage so she has a spot for the Volvo. When the shop is done the BMW will move out there and I might be able to park in a garage.

I decided that would never happen again, so we bought a house with a 4.5 car attached garage and a 2400sqft shed.

Plus she won't let you get any other toys so that means you can't fill the spots=P

I've learned be careful setting expectations. My wife has said you should have just gotten me a minivan after we bought the Volvo wagon, then she actually drove a minivan, a Toyota Sienna, and said "why is it so slow?". I'm not sure she realizes that most of the Volvo wagons have 2/3 or less power than hers...
