I've had mixed numbers and letters on personalized plates, its normal.

Don't do collectors of you go a special plate route.  Get hobbyist.

Why would I go Hobbyist over Collectors? Also, Hobbyist plates look god awful on anything post 70's lol

Hobbyist plates basically give you a free pass on modifications to your car.
