What's more surprising is he's claiming to get this power out of the xi, which to my knowledge won't take much more than 450-500 whp let alone 800whp!  I want to contact him just to call him on his bullshit at this point.

I was surprised what an xi can handle.  Chris Welter's 335 was in the 700 range and never broke anything.  That is fun to surprise people with on the street...

Been for sale for awhile now. Started out at like $1500-$2k and has gone down all that way. Texted the guy (who is quite funny by the way) and it does not start and he isn't gonna bother seeing why. Told me that if he has to pop the hood (hood doesnt open currently) that "the price will go waaaay up. BAM"

was considering going to look at it, but probably won't. Kinda have to assume the worst, and can't afford to fix an m20 with a broken timing belt right now... could be a great deal if it's something simple...

Very cool car! Pick this up and join the vintage race circuit. Midwest Council even has a Vintage run group for the Long Race this weekend at Blackhawk Farms.

I would in a heartbeat, but I have to look at the big picture. It has been a race car from the factory (aka no title) which means I would need to buy a trailer and a truck to haul the trailer whenever I would want to take it to the track. Otherwise it will just sit in storage forever and never be used. Reality sucks!

You can pick up car trailers pretty cheap, especially since this car is a feather weight.  I'm sure your bass boat tow rig could haul it with no issues.
