Pulled the valve cover to find 1 intake valve completely out of adjustment.

It is back up and running smooth and quiet again. Looking forward to Saturday morning

I guess this is a good enough excuse not to go to work Saturday. I'll be there with my shoddily-repaired, snow tire equipped hooptie.

Charged up the battery and all is well. Now to see if the alternator is the culprit or not. In the meantime, I'll keep the battery tender on it till the cruise on saturday

I will be arriving at the St. Jerome Parking Lot (where we met at the autumnal gathering and were graced with the presence of a Mustang owner) around 7:45a tomorrow morning. We will be setting off at 8:00a. Call /send a text if you are going to be a few minutes late so we can wait up for you. We should arrive in Mukwonago between 8:45-8:50.

Someone should bring a nice camera for some 2017 calendar shots. This will be an adventure for me as I have never driven some of these roads. This is the sort of thing we buy these cars for so hopefully it will be an enjoyable morning for all.

The drive was really nice! Round-trip for me was about 100 miles. Glad everyone was able to make it out.

Here are a few pics from this morning for you.  Thanks for letting me tag along as the token female.

I left for Umansky BMW for the Drive for a Cause - donation to Children's Hospital.  Drove the 340i with sport pkg.  Sounded good, handling similar to the e92 other than clipping the brake pedal when I went for the clutch that wasn't there.  Need to kill the nav though, I found it distracting and annoying.

I was too busy staying alive, so I didn't get pics. :( I do have to give a big thanks to Tom for driving me around to get the car fixed and back on the road in time. Also shout out to Brian for the great driving route. Had a great time!!!

All flights were grounded nationwide because my open wastegate sounded like a surface to air missile?

                                      Plausible.

No, there were some weather issues on the east coast, but my specific flight was delayed becasue of a maintenance issue to the plane while it was in Atlanta.  The plus is that it was a direct flight, so no missed connection.
