Been driving it for about a month now (usually just in weekends and such for fun) and I was having an issue where it would randomly die while driving.
Snap had mentioned it sounded like a main relay symptom. I swapped in a spare main relay I had from my other harness, cleaned the harness ground up and found a new ground for some accessories I was running. Also swapped DMEs to the 413 silver label that came with my s50.
(I had a spare so why not)
Beat the shit out of it for about an hour a few days ago and no random turning off whilst driving happened. Hooray!!
I just thought it was odd it would start acting up after almost 1400 miles on the swap.
I still want to get harness covers & re secure my fuse box cover

Looking good! How much better is the s50 over the m50 in your opinion?
If my car wasn't originally m50 swapped when I bought it, I wouldn't waste time with swapping an m50 over a decent m20.
S50 feels much better

First time ever doing an event like this and it was tons of fun. Will definitely want to do this again. After pushing my car to the best of my limited abilities I can see how a proper suspension helps. Yogurtland springs on bilstein HDs made for an interesting combo of body roll, lols, and getting sideways.
There were a total of 21 drivers in the novice class and I was super happy to come in 5th! I was trying to break 38seconds and finally snuck into the 37s on the very last run

Hell yeah! Even with the M10 in my car, I had a blast. Was planning to do a lot more this year, but didn't get the car together soon enough. FVSCC has an event on the small track at Road America this weekend that I'm hoping to make it to. Should be a lot more fun now. I get TONS of body roll. Should really work on the suspension.... but turbo...
Need to get the car together by May next year instead of late July...

How do you have the radiator clip holding the radiator?
Rubber feet on the bottom of the rad rest on the core support. Top clip has rubber feet pushing against top of rad and the clip is then screwed into the core support

Stock right? That's how the radiator on my brothers e30 is secured.

Basically just been collecting tools and acquiring parts for this winters project. (Which is pretty much everything that moves under the unibody)
Got the space setup. Windows have been great stuffed and plastic sealed. Torpedo heater is good to go and the parts are very very slowly rolling in, big thanks to Garagistic. Got the complete chassis and trailing arm reinforcements in/on their way and every bushing has been ordered except for the diff. The drive shaft was brand new as well as the flex disc when I did the swap.
Left to order:
Diff bushing
Every braking component
Still on the fence about sway bars
Coilover setup
So basically waiting for the bulk of it yet
Will be pulling both front and rear subframes & most likely will get rid of those as I'm getting some rust free ones from a parts car so I can refresh a good one while the car sits
Front subframe and suspension will come out while harbor freight holds my engine in the balance
Should be fun, I also stocked up on map gas, PB blaster, impact, and have been practicing my breathing techniques for when this junk won't come out easily

I really have not run into anything that doesn't come apart with a reasonable amount of force, the rear subframe bushings are what I would think to be the trickiest part of the suspension to get out, but there are tricks for that as well.
A whole suspension refresh will feel awesome, I know mine did when I did it. You actually get to drive yours so it will be that much better

This is what I'm excited for. In all honesty when I rode in snaps properly setup m20 car (NA) it felt soooo much better than my car right after I did the s50. Suspension makes such a huge difference, I had to feel it to believe it (no homo)

Solid Delrin RTABs
Solid offset Delrin FCABs
Engine & trans are already solid Delrin

FYI, I might be selling my turbo manifold, turbo, and full 3in stainless exhaust next winter...
