I just don't understand how you can look at that and think it is okay.

Oh fun! An even better development!
Steve (Blunttech) doesn't have any manifolds in stock, and he said it will be months before he does again.
If Good'n Tight doesn't have any I am SOL for far too long.
Fingers crossed. -
Can you cut off and weld on another turbo flange?
absolutely. But 5$ says you would have to modify the downpipe haha.
Are they gonna keep it if they buy you a new one? Id probably buy this one for cheap maybe

-
My problems with a new flange :
The flange is the collector, so all 7 pipes are welded right to it.
Welding on welds
Trusting that the flange would be in the same spot
The side that mates to the head is still super messed up, and by the time it's straight the turbo will be further into the valve cover and I can't clock the turbo further than I have already. -

Not sure, I kind of want it as well lol

Good news, there are some manifolds in stock!

Yes
Edit : I saw that and was more than annoyed so I left for the evening. -
Good news, the owner of the company is pegging it on shipping, and said I had to file a claim with UPS.
I am going to take another look at it and see if I feel comfortable with pulling the material back where it needs to be, and if not will be ordering a new one and hoping that UPS covers the insurance claim that I filed.
He doesn't have any in stock either, so I get to wait for that if I don't like the way this one turns out.We are going on 4 weeks of no progress due to outside companies.

Except Brian (Snap) he is a madman, and returned parts in less than 48 hours.

One step forward, three steps back.
Got the head one and torqued down, put the cams in and did the timing.Put the primary chain guide in (upper guide that holds the chain that runs between the cams)
When I went to tighten the bolt in the primary guide that runs down into the front timing cover, I grabbed the torque wrench and set it to the spec that the bentley says. Stripped the threads out of the aluminum. Fantastic!
Any suggestions as to how to fix this? In order to run a helicoil I would have to take the head back off....
This new shop must be cursed. -
I am pretty sure I have done them to this spec every time, without issue.
The other two that I did before the middle one were fine, so I'm not quite sure.Cams are coming back out today, head will be loosened up, oil pan will be loosened, and the front timing cover will be coming out.
I am getting quick at top end work on 24v motors!

Isn't it 89in lbs?

Not looking forward to the next update after the picture you sent me tonight.
I'm starting to feel bad for you now...
