I'll be adding at least 2 aftermarket gauges to the E30 (wideband and likely a oil PSI gauge), and haven't seen a lot of good gauge locations other then the recess just forward of the change tray.

Anyone know of good gauge mounting locations (and where to buy the mount parts?) as I need to get something sorted out right away so I can get the wideband mounted.

Any help/pics would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked into the gauges that replace the drivers side vent about the radio?

Damn that's cool.... But $350 + senders is more then I wanna spend right now. Already got my Innovative wideband anyways so really just looking for a place for that.

Affer more googling - I see people have mounted them where the ashtray is (perfect since I never use it). Just can't seem to find anyone who sells the mounts.

PM Rampelsauce, he bought a cnc cut 3 gauge filler somewhere for his last e30.

Perfect - nice find Earl! All my googlings were coming up with ancient forum threads that were long dead.

Not the most OEM look but it puts the business right in front of your face.  I'm running this for my boost and wideband gauges and I have the 3 pod setup in front of the ashtray area. Oil pressure, voltage and water temp.

I'm having a hard time thinking of good spots to put my air gauges. I want something that looks very OEM. I would hide them but I can't find a good spot for that either

Make a custom gauge pod in the glovebox?

For what? I meant to do a custom gauge pod inside the glovebox so when you want to see your air gauges, just flip down the glove box as usual. Out of sight when not needed and glove box is closed. No cutting involved.

Similar to this, but doesnt need to use up the whole thing if you dont want to.

I would need to drill inside of it to run the air lines and power wire into the glovebox.

Who cares?? I'm sure someone in Europe has cut into their glove box and didn't think twice about it.
