engine clean up

so does anyone know of any good machine shops in the waukesha area that i could take my block to to get it cleaned up and my cylinder head decked for a good price, and honest labor costs???

Also i may get my crankshaft honed let me know any help is appreciated

As a reference the last engine I had cleaned up cost 450-500.  That included inspecting and hot tanking and painting the block.  Measure and micro polish the crank.  Polish and measure pistons.  This was for an m20.  Done by Gritzmacher Racing Engines in Mosinee WI.  He was impressed with the BMW parts as he mostly does SB/BB Chevy engines.  Especially with the crankshaft.  This was for an m20, I also had him inspect and clean the block for my m50 several years ago.  Not sure if the price was good or not but he was a nice guy and recommended by the local racers.

alright thanks guys! ill have to check them out and see who i think fits best! can anyone give suggestions for bearings should i get the special "coated race" bearings or just the stock oem style bearings?

From the reading I have done OE is the way to go.  I haven't had any issues in the 45k since I rebuilt my m50 and I hit redline every time I drive it.   I miss driving it...
