Thread started. Who's going? Me and Submuzik will be there. Planning to stay the weekend this year. Hopefully a hotel on the strip.

I regretted not going last year, so it's on my radar for this year.

I'm a little worried about staying right "near the action" (well - *I* wanna stay there but I don't want my car there). 99% of the cars there won't be screwed with... I worry about my car falling into the 1%.

I wouldn't worry much about that. Anyway, looking forward to a cruise up there. Always a good time to be had!

All of the members that are going should make some sort of meet up plan I think. Get a bunch of Bimmers crusin together down the strip.

Should set up points for those not going to the E30 picnic and then we can all rally up somewhere along the way to automotion.

Do we want to try to get some hotel rooms/a cabin? I did that one year. Shared a room with five dudes but it was a pretty good time. I was drunk from Thursday til Sunday.

I know of a real badass house we could rent for the weeknd that can sleep like 14 and another 5 above the boathouse. We couldn't trash it but would be awesome for a guys weekend.

I may also fall into the camp of being too worried about my car getting vandalized. I've always been hesitant about Automotion .

I had fun going up after the show to watch the mayhem but I was happy to sleep in my own bed that night.

If we had a hotel/cabin away from the action, that would be ideal.  I love watching the shit show with some beers on the strip.  

A couple years ago, I drunkenly climbed into the head of the Trojan horse.  It was amazing.

That's where I was going. Maybe we could all caravan in just a couple cars to watch the action the have our own shindig once the sun goes down.

Maybe something like the cabin I posted about in the other thread (for reference):

I think this was about 10-15 minutes from the strip, and I think was $375 a night (2 night min). Obviously something alittle cheaper and maybe closer would be ideal. Slept "14" (8-10 comfortably).

Well, if were doing Friday and Saturday, $375 a night would be reasonable if we had 10 or so people (leaving a ample budget for dad sodas).

I say lets do it.  I'd be willing to go out Friday, cruise to the picnic Saturday, then back.  Sounds like a crazy time.

I'd help pay for both nights but there would be a chance I couldn't make it up till Saturday morning.

From what I heard it was a small number of incidents - but it only takes one to ruin someone's day. Too many idiots + booze + free time..... Inevitably something's getting broke.
