I was wondering all your thoughts on exhaust systems or what aftermarket mufflers sounds good for a 325is?

Ive heard that Magnaflows mufflers arent bad or a cheap muffler from Summit Racing

The Magnaflow 14815 is quite popular with the e30 crowd.

Search the exhaust section on r3vlimited and bf.c and you'll find sound clips of different setups. Some folks like the magnaflow some like alternatives. Depends on what you like: quiet/louder/ear bleed, rumble/rasp/fart can; drone/no drone or acceptable drone at particular rpm bands, etc.

the 'best sounding' ones I've heard have all been very expensive ones.  For $200-300, you canreplace your stock cat-back system with a y-pipe and your choice of aftermarket exhaust. I used magnaflow a couple times, it had that sporty sound that most people are looking for out of these cars. (not too raspy, gurgles went you let up on the accelerator, etc)

Pretty sure that's what I put on my e30, it wasn't bad, a little loud for a very of maybe I'm just getting old.
