I would think it would be "easier" than something like a car that was never sold here with an engine we never had.  As long as it maintained the same crash specs and emissions then I think it would be fairly simple.

This was the car that showed up at the end of the E30 Picnic, not the best repaint on it but overall it was a pretty clean driver.
