Fuel not primed, my e30 took forever to start after draining the fuel, pull out the fuel pump relay and use a jumper wire to run it for a minute.  I think the pump only runs a few seconds and it takes forever to get the air out of the fuel rail.

Here are some pics of the thermostat housing repair.  The nipple for the throttle body heater was corroded terribly so I drilled it out and tapped it 1/8 NPT.  If this happens to you and you want to keep the throttle body heater you can get an 1/8 NPT to 3/8" nipple fitting and thread that in.

We got some flyby videos last night, Mikes dad was running the camera.  It runs very well.  Pulls like a boss.

Now to feel better tomorrow (had a sinus infection from hell today, didn't even leave my apartment today :( ) get this glorious hunk of metal registered and insured and then irritate the local yokels with the e28. Can't wait to do the i stroker setup and maybe mega the squirtin and turbo this winter. All in all I am more than happy with the car now. If you have an e28 that isnt a manual, you are wasting your time!!! Also the exhaust would even impress Thor (the god of thunder)

OK finally back on here... The e28 LIVES!!! The manual swap was the best thing ive done to the car yet (besides the Menard peformance exhaust). It pulls very well for being an n/a seta manual swap car. Also i have the auto diff in it still and no complaints, its geared perfectly and it can light up the tires in the dry from a stop no probs, in the wet itll spin up the rears through second!!! I will shut up now and get you guys what you really want... PICS!!!

Did some screwing around on my car yesterday

Found this old dizzle exhaust tip which slid right over my twin tips

Then I broke out the 2 shitty cragars that i had laying around for a test fit. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't trust this at all for towing unless he did plenty if reinforcement underneath and in the trunk. Using the shock mounts seems like a bad idea in the first place since it's such a common rust point.

I'd have to look up where the oem trailer hitch gets mounted, my euro shell had one. I know it also had extra bracing in the front of the trunk between the strut towers. Guys in Europe tow small campers with these babys!

You should snap a couple pics Chris, I think it could be reinforced and work pretty well, obviously not too big of a trailer though.

I have pictures from the previous owner when it was installed and taken off. I'll look for them next week when I'm home.
