Tossed a different set of wheels on the 240 today...

Nope, didn't have the remote oil filter, but it was something I swore to add when I had my wagon.
With a turbo and whatnot in there, it's way more of a pain to get the filter off the stock location than it should be. In this spot i should just be able to lay on the ground and reach up to get it off. Also the added bonus of there not being anything scalding hot nearby.
Good call, the e36 cartridge filter setup is awesome but the m20 one up by the exhaust manifolds is silly, would be much better remote mounted. One thing that may be even better is if you can mount it so the filter hangs vs. sideways, then it doesn't pour all over when removing the old one.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the e36 filter setup. That'll be the next revision to my setup... when i swap in a m52 in a year or two.
Once I get the fender on I'll see about tweaking the mounting a bit, but that's a good thought.

That grill is so sick with the fog lights in there!

Yeah, i think so too. I'm a big fan of this front end, and it's pretty uncommon.
I really like the black oxide screws in your case=) Looking excellent Tom
Thanks, Earl!

Brakes are bled.
It's running lean, so I was hunting down vacuum leaks, but ran out of time because this thing is way too loud to run after 9pm in the neighborhood.
Oil filter lines were leaking thanks to the included orings. Replacing with aluminum crush washers.
Hopefully tomorrow I can at least drive it down our street.

what will the wheels look like? nobody knows! actually i'm not sure what wheels i'll actually end up running on this.
-
16" wheels don't fit over monster brakes, but regardless I wouldn't run 16s anyway.
-
I drove it in a circle.
I am SO excited to start driving this.

I'm really excited to see this thing!

I drove it to work today and yesterday, I'm a bit surprised you didn't hear it!
Still hoping I have time to stop by the e30 picnic on Saturday, but there's soooo much to do yet. We'll see.

Successful 5,000 mile shakedown run to Kansas City, Portland, Seattle and back. Here are two quick pictures.
Including me drunk at a bbq talking about the car.

Looks great!

Thanks guys! Really excited to do a little more buttoning up on this (it's definitely not done) and take it out to local shows this summer.
And Dave I do still owe you a ride. Maybe I'll bring it to work next week.
