BMW makes a fairly stout driveline, so I was contemplating adapting an ls1 to the factory BMW transmission(zf trans). I feel like it would do just fine to the abuse of the larger motor. I was just wondering if you guys had an opinion on this. I think it could make an awesome option for a 5 series daily driver. Reliable cheap power.

I'd rather finish the e30 project you have now and make that more solid reliable and fun, and get an inexpensive, stock, daily driver that will be cheap and reliable to operate and wont make you cry when rainman rearends you doing 100 while submitting american idol votes via text.

A G260 out of a Cadalic CTS would probably bolt up too, not sure how common those are though.

Woah I didn't know they had any options for manuals that fit in cars except the t56?
