Last I heard, he jumped ship, bought a Mazda3 with SkyActiv Technology and threw a hand sanitizer molotov cocktail into a crowd of tourists.  He may have also purchased some Marshmallow Peeps.  

Can anyone confirm/deny/provide further speculation on his whereabouts?

Pretty sure he mentally jumped ship with the slowmaticvertible.  The mazda would just finalize it as a physical jump.
