Wheels for e28?

I am trying to figure out what wheels I can cheaply fit on my e28 I was going to use the sport package wheels off my e46 once I got new wheels for the e46 but they hit the struts in the front. Im just trying to get an idea of what offset and whats the widest I can run on this thing. I am soon to undertake the e30ix to e28 frankenstein lowering kit to go as low as possible.

E38 style 5's should work well for you. The e46 wheels would with extended studs and wheel spacers.
