Sounds like a plan. Let me know if they have any e36 compacts. I need a few things.

that would probably be the M21 engine. If so, people use those crankshafts for M20 stroker setups.

The US/Canada got the 524TD e28's with the M21 diesel engine and automatic transmission. I would love to have a TD! It would not be a touring though as Earl said, all E28 touring are coach built and very rare.

Don't use the crank in an M20 build, take the whole god damn motor and use the TD. Let us know, as I'd go in debt to get a TD for my E28. Seeing as A.Stirrett refuses to sell me one of his priceless gems.

Like others stated, if it's an E28 touring coach built, it's rare as fuck.

Fun fact: they put that BMW diesel in Lincoln Mark VII's in the mid 80's too.

The Vin number on it is wbadb2402g0533024. And it was a sedan. There was a wagon next to it. Haha. I got a pictures of it on my phone. I will upload them tonight. And it had 121k on the clock too.

Why can't there ever be a rear ended E28! At least Brian can get a drivers door off it maybe. What yard is this located in?

wonder if they'd let that thing go for cheaps. Did the motor look salvagable?

I really didn't look at it in depth. But it looked salvageable. At that junkyard they also have 2 e30s, an e36, a 5 series wagon(not sure what generation), a couple porches, and a handful of volkswagons and audis
