Are you storing your BMW for winter?

I drove my first e30 through winter, was terrible until I got snow tires. The wear on the body was terrible, rusted like mad. Never again.

The red car will sit in the garage being worked on! I have a 93 blazer for my daily/winter.

i have a 76 CJ7 that my father and I are rebuilding. Until i finish that bad boy, I do not have a car to drive. probably should of thought about that before I tore apart my e30. Oh well..

I drove my 5 the first winter I had it. Caused lots of damage to it and will never do it again, but with the blizzaks, that car would go anywhere.

I got the E28 all set up for winter. 16" steelies, on balding continental conti-sports, that TJ wore down to just about the wear bars. Should be exciting

E36 tucked away for winter, probably wait a couple weeks to throw the snows on the e46 touring.

I bought and installed snows on my Nissan last winter..........

had fun using them for a whole 2 days. Should have just driven the beem all year.

Running snows just insures that it doesn't snow all winter;)

Maybe... rwd + limited slip + snow = FUN.. BUT I do have my 2010 forester that should be a boss in the fluffy white stuff.. But then again... I like to play lol

Its definitely good car control practice, and at legal speeds I think I like rainy days more for that though.

I'm respraying my car. I'm not quite sure if I have the balls to drive it in the winter after killing all that rust. Anyone plasti dip their car clear in the winter or something?

If you cover over a bare rock chip or scratch that has began forming rust , you face the risk of it rusting under the plasti-dip, paint, or whatever coating is on it. I think its a cool idea for winter protection though.

so "respraying your car" is I assume a not fully prepped thing you are doing...

Well I'm removal all the trust? I'm just not painting the door jams basically. Not bringing it to bare either. Well not at all spots. Just scuffing the primer and respraying with rattle can(bought the paint before I found out my dad has multiple paint guns and lots of experience painting cars) and then spraying a real clear coat.
