The car has indeed been parked since 01 though and was imported to New Mexico

Congrats. I smell another savings account drained!

Haven’t updated in a while. It’s been a wild few months with the world ending and all that ruckus. Car is finally getting close to being drivable! It’s fully painted, I am currently finishing the wet sanding process. The wheels were fully refinished was planned, I had the chrome removed and powder coated the faces and cage to match, and polished the lips of the wheels. I have gotten very close on my fitment I’m desiring. The rear is a little off still due to some tow issues. I am installing offset RTAB bushings tomorrow from Garagtastic and hopefully that will help me get it to where I want it. The interior is almost finished up for now, I am just a few steps away from mounting and wrapping my metal door panels in alcantara suede. Can’t wait to get on the road! Closer and closer everyday. Alignment is next Monday!

All the right small details.
Where are those town houses at? Look pretty dope.
Also, going to need a link for the 935 keychain
Thanks! I’m right on Lake Michigan in St. Francis. I got the key chain from a guy in Poland actually. He got it from a 90’s shop that went under in Japan that sold all Momo stuff. It was never never opened from 89’

The worst days of owning a BMW will always be the days you do bushings. Rented a $300 bushing removal kit and still ended up having to beat the living crap out of them to get them out. Oh well. Offset bushings in. Toe is a million times better. Alignment Monday! Buffing and wet-sanding continues all week.
-
Toe is still off. Just measured today with some tow plates and I’m around ~1/2” toed out. So 1/4” on both sides. I am out of adjustability so i ended up finding some toe brackets that are available that allow for more adjustability. Hopefully these will solve my problems! Should be here by Friday. Install Saturday

Were these your control arm bushings? I had just bought new lolli's in the past to avoid these issues for how cheap they are.
RTAB’s. I did the LCA bushings a month or so ago along with adjustable LCA’s, those were terrible as well.

Finally got to getting this ACS rear window wing on and man I'm not happy at all. Wing is very wavy, and doesn't fit very good at all. Also the glass underneath is ruined because someone decided to install this with the worlds craziest glue/sealer I've ever seen so I think I'm going to have to deal with it till next winter and have the whole rear glass replaced.

-
Looks to me that it was bent when taken off.
They bend really easy and need to be taken off with a heat gun and fishing line.
The thing was wavy before I removed it but yes it was bent when taking off as well. I tried everything possible including heat and a fishing line. Someone used a permanent calk of some sort. I couldn’t get any of it off the window no matter what i tried so I had to glue right over the old stuff. You should’ve seen how hard this thing was to get off. It was insane. I might have a new rear windshield put in soon

So here's how its going to go down.
You're going to borrow my E46 M3, then crash it, thus owing me a 10 second car. You will give me your marvelously built violet E36 old unreliable German car with ill fitting roof spoiler as payment and I can swap the S54 into it and create my ideal BMW.
LMK when you wanna do this and I can drop off the keys.

Sounds good. I will be dropping the car off at LKQ tomorrow, you can meet me there if you would like.

I saw it sitting in the front of his shop so sad one day, and I immediately knew it was exactly what I’ve always needed. I ended up selling my s2000 a week later and bought it. I plan to keep this car forever. It’s already come so far in less than a year and I couldn’t be happier

Finally after 3 delays, my toe brackets came in to hopefully solve my toe out problem. These are made usually to do the opposite of what I need, but they allow for more adjustability both ways. I got them in and I think I'm right where I need to be. very close to 0. Alignment time Monday then time to enjoy hopefully!
