WAI is back!!

For all of you bummed that Miller/Am-fam/whoever Park no longer allows autocross events: WAI is back in business with 5 events planned for this summer and a new Milwaukee area venue!

Looks like they will be running at the Waukesha Expo Center. It's smaller than Miller Park but way better than nothing. I'm hoping to attend at least a few of these this summer!

Update: The September event is Sunday the 27th, NOT Monday the 7th.

That lot looks rough though. Has anyone gone out there and inspected it yet?

$45 is cheap, Im marking my calendar.

Battery is not what I was worried about passing tech...

Last WAI event I went to they pretty much did a quick once over, opened the hood, told me @straight6pwr's car was cleaner, and waved me through.

They're pretty low key, similar to FVSCC

Thats good to know. I was worried at the drift events because of my cracked window and roof rack. I was telling the guy that I understood if I couldnt I dri ........ he just slapped a sticker on and said "PASS" before I even finished talking.

Glad they found a place! Will MKE SCCA be using the same venue? Losing Miller Park was a blow to autox folks after all these years.
