Looking for the upper and lower oil pan for the m42.  It has to be a front sump one from the e30.

Lower might be hard to find used in good shape since they hang low and take a beating. I picked my lower pan up from Gutenparts for $65 about 6 years ago but now up to$113. ECS has a few options you've probably already looked at. While I'd stay away from Uro there are some other low cost options.

I believe I have a spare upper, but it's in my storage unit in Appleton, and I don't get up there too often anymore.

I also agree with Boris that the lower is more or less a consumable. I've broken one and have another with a hairline crack...

When I replaced the cracked lower pan that came with my car, I also bought a skidplate. Great investment especially if your car is lowered at all and/or you deal with city streets.

I am mainly after the upper. The m42 will go into e21 most likely vert mounted so i will need to fabricate the lower pan anyway.

let me know if you want to sell it.
