The story I got was that they had some really shady FI tunrs over the years. The owner is supposed to know his stuff about carbs, but carbs are black magic to me, so I stay away anyways. The current FI tuner is OK, but only works nights and weekends so it's annoying to a lot of customers.
I don't think there is anything bad about them, just wouldn't take any of my vehicles there.

I heard something about their dyno being off and reading much higher than what is actually being put out.

That wouldn't surprise me. Almost every Dyno has a factor in it that can be changed to manipulate the numbers. It's up to the user if they want fake numbers. THe important thing is the change in the numbers during a tune, or after mods. Seems like a jerky thing to do though.
