We got a mini caravan heading down the 9th. My gf is running a 5k in the morning, in Madison, so a friend and I are waiting for her then going to the 4-9 session for $15. A couple others I know are going all day, so we all kinda planned on meeting up. Its at Granite Peak, and my friend is very much a beginner so I might be spending they day trying to help him out a bit, which is perfectly fine by me. Bring yo lady fren, have a blast, we'll get drunk, you can drive, I'll sing loudly, cats will cry.

I had some timing cover leaks that I had to fix.  [image: ] Brakes are done. I used stainless hard lines which do not seal as well at the fittings as NiCopp lines. I had couple small leaks. A bit more torque at the fittings fixed the issue.  Clutch hydraulic lines are done and it looks like clutch works ok. I put driveshaft, diff and axles in. Tightened whole front suspension minus tie rods.  I still need to shorten stock e36 tie rods for this setup to work. I have a z4 manual rack that I will put in I just need to figure out the splines. I hope they are the same as e36 rack so I could reuse my Woodward u-joints.   Valve cover lost its beautiful blue color for the more modest wrinkle black [image: ] The stupid intake manifold flange was warped. And my shitty welds were full of pinholes. No wonders that I could not set the idle below 1.2k rpm.  [image: ][image: ]  2 hours later and the flange started too look flat again   [image: ] I spent whole evening chasing pinholes. I think I got them all. I welded new downpipe and rest of the exhaust. Its a 3" going into borla XR-1 muffler to Vibrant super quiet resonator and side exits on the driver side.  I still need to weld a beauty ring for the side exit. Wait are these rear trailing arms, or rear subframe bushings? Lol. I feel like the rtabs are pretty small. Like 1.5" od or less.  Man I lied. I was going to build these, but I thought they were the same as the e30. I need e30 rear subframe bushing and rear trailing arm bushings. Anyone want to measure some? I have a rear subframe I guess I could measure? Paying 300$ for 30$ worth of delrin is crazy talk to me.

I brought the camera, but never got bored enough to break it out. After a couple attempts to find a comfortable place, it finally lodged itself between the passenger armrest and seat bolster and stayed there for the rest of the meet.

I stopped in briefly. That 1M was sick!

The joys of parking an old engine for the winter...my valve cover gasket let go. It was on its way out anyway, time for a valve adjustment!

This is likely the last post of this thread until Spring season when I start to do some not-very-interesting-but-required aesthetic mods like tint, wheels, black out the chrome window trim, kidneys, etc.  So the car is officially on the road and overall driving great. Blizzaks were mounted yesterday. Still has a CEL for a bad o2 sensor, and I have noticed a couple things now after 150 miles of driving that I'm going to deal with. I used MT-90 fluid in the transmission and I believe that's a bit too thick for the cold climate as when the transmission is not warmed up, it's pretty fussy about the gears. This week I will be putting in MTL instead which should be more viscous. The rear passenger shock is blown and leaking so I have 2 new rear shocks on the way from FCP right now and will install those this week as well.  Overall I'm pretty much ecstatic about where the car is at right now and have been taking excuses to drive it whenever possible. Obviously working from home doesn't give me a lot of reasons to go out, but I'm trying to find them anyway because for the work I've put into the car, I'd like to enjoy it a little bit. The results are in! Last tune vs new tune That pickup in torque is very noticeable, the top end doesn't feel all that much different but feels much smoother than last time.  [image: image.png]

That interior will look great in there! Also I love Sunbeam Tigers!
