Yup and it’s all up to people’s interests too. I have no desire to own anything from 2003 until present but I’ll gladly buy a electric car once the charging networks and technology has been proven. I’ll always have a few “old” cars though as long as possible.

Now that I think about it to Fluid Motorunion in Naperville has done a lot of dyno tuning and started out specializing in BMW's.  They moved shops and I don't know if they still do dyno tuning but it might be another good one.

Seems like more effort IMO but it looks great.

Well... since "terribad" isnt a word, your opinion is invalid about the S85.   [image: Image result for stir the pot gif] I wanted to think your ears are broken, but then you mention a 4-rotor so I know they kinda work.  [image: Image result for 4 rotor BMW queen street][image: Image result for queen street bmw]

[image: mugatu.gif] Haha.  Apparently it's not as obviously different as i thought.  I still firmly believe that this is a unique sounding S85, not just loud. Jdesign said: Equal length long tube headers into a single collector usually create that more harmonious sound at full tilt. It sounds damn good. Then again, I find pleasure in sounds of just about any explosion whether its a 3 cylinder Mirage or a 16 cylinder Cizeta.  It probably does have headers of some sort, but how they are merged i do not know.   wasnt m3 said: Seems like the video has been speed up slightly. I hope i havent been fooled by a little video editing.  Though I have found videos where it has the same shriek.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1guFUeqq5g&

So I looked into this and the laser is what's doing the popping.  I guess this was previously set by a human who popped all of these balloons in a straight line with a laser.  BMW wanted to prove the cars agility by popping balloons in the shape of an M... because there isn't a better way to show this by doing things like winning races, setting lap times, etc.  I suppose that wouldn't garner as much attention as balloons and lasers. I do appreciate that they tried their hardest to cover up the engine noises so as to not subject us to that atrocity.

I think this is what I am leaning to from hearing everything hear and reading else where. The money up front is worth the peace of mind and not having to buy a new oil pan.

The sr20 and ls swapped cars were on my wall when k was younger.  I remember when he made it into Super Street and rushing to buy it because I had followed his build on NICO or Zilvia. This is a blast to the past!

patsbimmer1 said: FWIW I owned a set of Streetlines on an e36.  I liked them for what they were which was a cheap coilover but certainly not as good as the Bilsteins I had on my e90.  Seriously though, hit me up about pricing because I can get you a great deal on something you might have thought you couldn't afford. I had Solowerks on my E90 before the current one.  I preferred the Solowerks over the Bilstein's. The solowerks were a much more aggressive spring rate, but man did they make the car feel planted. The Bilstein's feel wobbly and do some weird stuff. Almost tempted to go back.  so, +1 for solowerks

-I'd choose DCT -Rear is still awkward -I wonder how much more fun this would actually be than a $15000 135i with an lsd -The side view mirrors are my favorite thing about it

I can say that the E34 M5 and E30 I got running with a buddy, the client/owner previously spent north of $40k with a shop for around 5 years to "Try" and get his S38 swapped E30 running.  Best part is it took us roughly two weeks get get both cars running and dialed. Better part is he then went back to that shop after we fixed them. WTF is wrong with people?

Well finishing the car as is currently would be what I'd do. In addition: *M51 swap (fully rebuilt, repaint it all, and change out all of the external hardware) *Alpina VDO Gauges *Non-Airbag Dash *Parcel shelf w/ rearblind *New door, hatch, and windshield glass

wasnt m3 said: What are you trying to accomplish? I've got a laptop with a bunch of bmw software on it. I have a foxwell scanner but I don't think I'm able to properly calibrate my x3 VTG control unit. Ether that or the unit is bad in which case I will need to code the new one which I know for sure I don't have the capability to do with the scanner. I'm up shit creek with this car.
