I have watched the prices religiously on e30s over the past 15 years or so... I have owned 4 of them...which isnt alot compared to some e30 whores out there. But its obvious that they are garnering collectible status, and more of a cult following every year. If its as nice as you say I think its definitely worth checking out. Maybe he will let you pull the head in his garage on your time before you make an offer on it? Wouldn't take long to see whats going on in there.

if you have a high quality 3/8 metric set of deep and shallow sockets, a set of 3/8 alien sockets, e-torx sockets, wire strippers and pliers, a dead blow hammer, #1 #2 #3 Philips screwdrivers, a low profile jack, 2 tall and 2 short jack stands, and metric open end wrenches you should given common sense, time, and the internet be able to repair or rebuild just about any component on any BMW chassis. that being said I have a 3000$ tool box with close to 25k worth of tools in my garage and still take things to a local shop on occasion.

What a waste. I suppose if someone was a collector it would be fine, but how lame! I have a "friend" in the UK that has two E30 M3 evo's he bought new. One he mods, the other sits in the garage and has like 5000 KM. I suppose if I was rich, maybe I could see doing that. But nowadays I do not see new M3's holding value like the original.

Yea I had HPS pads on my last car, 05 Subaru Legacy GT, and I liked them a lot. Good feel to them. And for $30 more than oem bmw pads for front and rear, I think I'm going to get those.

For the quick and dirty use Photobucket. Use Flickr or image shack for a longterm deal

There should be another meet or something so I have something to wear this to. Blue is not part of my regular wardrobe. And no offense to piku, but I am a one man kinda gal. Yes there's been a couple crazy nights... but nothing is quite like a man... and that's good.
