Morzada, welcome to wibimmers! How'd you hear about us?! And we should get a madison meet going! I figure my place is perfect. It's centrally located. My driveway is huge, and I dedicated it as the BMW house of the south west side of wisco! As Zach has the south east side as the bmw house over there [image: :)]

Thanks straight6, just looking for options still... buying used wheels that are 10 yrs old soft metal is always a risk. All I can find in other styles are ones that need major cleaning / resurfacing, and finding a sale that isn't sold or too old is hard to come by. Either way. Need something sooner than later.... First, the swap has been done before, and theres plenty of information on it, google is your friend. Second, if you are unsure about rebuilding an engine, a swap is probably out of the question

the external fader sucks! just get the right wiring diagram and its pretty easy. on my first car, I had an aftermarket installed and they left the fader in. i never could get sound out of the front speakers and there always was a buzzing interference noise. then i had the radio stolen from the car and the thief trashed the wiring as they always do. i bought a different model stock e30 radio and just wired it in without the fader based on the wire functions and it worked like a charm with no buzzing. no amp upgrade needed for just a headunit and it sounded fine in the e30. and amp would make wiring easier, since you start from new and dont have to figure out all the stock wires, but it would just be extra crap in the car. http://shark.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e30/

straight6pwr said: i finally test drove an e34 touring, and i must say in stock form there not much driving experience (at least compared to an e30). i imagine with a little suspension massage, it could handle on rails, though. I have to disagree. I had a 525i touring in Germany a couple of years ago, and I thought it drove great. It was the car that turned me to BMW. Now, to be fair, the only other cars I had ever driven before that were american cars, so maybe my 525 touring was just better sprung than anything I had driven previously, but, it sure was a nice car as far as I was concerned.

GunMetalGrey said: Not to be that guy, but why are you daily driving something like that?!? Don't get me wrong I love putting miles on a car, but with only 61k on it I would second guess myself lol I had several older Bimmers while I was in Germany the past couple of years. Most of them were E34's, but I also had a really nice E30 316i sedan. I liked them so much that I decided I wanted one to drive full time here in the States. Wanted a car with lower mileage so it will last a good long time, and my wife wanted another convertible.
