Yes, you will need to create a lever arm that allws the pedal to fully open close the throttles, this is the same that they do with conventional plates.  The machining and precision is going to be super important as well.  I get geeked out by this sort of stuff, so please keep posting updates. cool project in that no one has done it (or very few) useless project in that e30s already have good weight distribution, so it doesnt take such a gigantic effort to balance them out.  he lost the trunk, rear seats, and gained an empty engine bay (which is useless).

That is interesting, and nice to know. I will have to say that my car has run really great every time I've put Shell premium into it. Not sure if the extra octane make the difference or not. If so, then I'm sort of hesitant to run less than 91 in mine. Had an 88 truck a number of years ago that was supposedly tuned to run on 89 octane, but, ran like crap on anything less than 91. Seems there is definitely a difference in fuels between octane ratings.

I grew up riding in the back seat of several E28's, so I'm gonna be stuck to these cars forever [image: :)] Can't wait to own an E28 M5 someday. Thanks for sharing the article!

Talked to him saturday about head work on my m30. He almost died from heat issues a few mo ths back but is still around. Normal folk dont talk to him directly but his sale guy mark.
