<![CDATA[Tips about 99 328i]]>Looking at picking up a silver 99 328i with 159,286 mi this week. Seller is asking $6,300 but I'm going to shoot for $5,500 cash money. The car is so clean I can't believe it actually has that many miles on it. Any opinions about this year or model? Good buy? I'm kind of in a hurry to buy. My E30 isn't really trustworthy for bigger trips and it's just beat up. Plus, being a fire fighter it always seems my E30 wont start when I'm on call. So regardless I'm getting a car this week.

Sad day. But on the bright side I can just buy a starter and save up some more money for a nicer car.

I've talked to the general manager about it and going to go check it out in person Friday. My family has bought a lot of cars from them and the GM is a close family friend. They have certified it so it'll come with a pre-owned warranty. I still plan on doing a full inspection for myself. If all goes well it'll be sitting in my driveway Friday night.

Just because its new and clean doesn't mean it was really well taken care of. Anybody can drop a car off at a detailer and have it looking brand new..
