One option is that SPEC E30 is in transition from the old H&R race springs to new GC/Eibach coilover kit with collars and 525/700 springs. New kit still uses the required Bilstein sports. No need to shorten the strut tubes just remove the lower spring perch, install the GC collars and go.

But since I'm running ITS with Midwestern Council these days instead of SE30 I've got more flexibility with coilover setups and shocks than the new kit. Before I start looking at options that require shortening (cutting and rewelding) my front strut tubes, such as running revalved Konis, I was wondering if anyone has a set of e30 strut tubes (late model 51mm) already shortened sitting in their shop gathering dust?
