It's not the throttle body, and the pedal is fine. The voltages for the two potentiometers in the TB are not at the right value coming from the ecu, with the correct proms for the car. When I put the parts car proms back in I get the correct voltage but obviously no start.

I guess it's obvious, just trying to understand why the throttle body would be tied into the immobilizer when it already doesn't allow it to crank if there is an issue.

Well that worked but didn't fix the issue. Thanks for searching what I failed to imagine.

So the reason for doing this. Throttle wouldn't actuate, plugged in parts car ecu and it would move with car in on position but wouldn't start. Swapped eproms and it started but won't actuate throttle. Swapped old proms back and actuates.

Now the question; The proms have malfunctions restricting throttle actuation? That seems like the obvious answer. Just would like to hear some input, because most people doing this are from eukaslavia and don't give details or make sense. Sinking in uncharted waters here

Haven't ran the car in a month and battery was to week so I put a jump pack on. I think that might be related but no idea.

So the good news, swapped the climate control unit, there were some dead pixels in the old one and the parts car one was perfect so that's a win. Seat belt retractor in do time, srs warning.

Bad news, ecu has to be replaced with a matching set as follows. Ezs (ignition switch module) with key, shifter module, and ecu. "Well you have a parts car so that should be all good" no, ezs is fried, not just literally.

My options are

find a matching set (very hard for s55 plus needs to be keyless go)

Buy a new one from the dealer $1000 and program it.

final option which I'm going to do. Send to the tuner who can virginize the parts Ecu and use the whatever ma whos on the old one to make it work.

I figured I would share this, as for the base edition person this would be detrimental. $$$

also had to make some room for the headers on the driver side by chopping a chunk out of the subframe. It was just an extra tab for mounting hydraulic lines so no structural issues. The driver side collector outlet hits the floor and I can't make any more room with a hammer so I'm going to be cutting it and welding it on at a downward angle.

To clarify these headers are for an e55, which is slightly smaller then my s55. The price tag for the s55 was 3.5x the price so I figured I'd make them work.

this was the first issue on the passenger side. Subframe heat shield I was able to cut that out, the smooth one, and push down the ribbed one onto the subframe. It's not by any bushings or rubber so it really doesn't need any protection at all. Then removed the bolt and shaved it so it was flush with the nut and gave the pipe the one two with a hammer for decent clearance.

The end of the header was resting up on the bottom of the car. Used a floor jack on the floor pan to make some extra room. That's about as far as I got on that. I'll have pictures within a year.

Now onto the BBK.

Got it mocked up where I want it, this BBK is a tight fit. Notice in the bottom left it is almost touching the fpr, on the right it is touching (what they call a surge tank in Mercedes land) but I would call intake manifold or intake runner. I have to shave off the protruding engraved bbk logo, very little, too fit.

I'm basically going to fill the shit out of the little snout where the throttle body connects and have a machine shop bore it out so I can drill and tap mounting holes. Obviously I will have them machine the matting surfaces flat. Open to recommendations on machine shops. Comparison of old vs new.
