I'm The motor would be leaving in multiple parts seeing as parts on them sell for more that the motor itself. Interior parts would maybe get me $200 misc electronics and other in necessary items possible $130.

The master rebuild kit is only $280 and the servo piston that is most likely the reason the car has no forward gears is $130. I'll probably just check and see if the piston broke. If not I'll pull the trans and see it the forward drum and one way clutches are still good before I spend the money for the rebuild kit.

Auto transmissions only take about 3 hours to rebuild mostly due to all the cleaning required.

My vote is to get a fresh trans from a rebuilder.
