<![CDATA[E46 oil leak]]>So I noticed I am losing oil at a somewhat high rate(ballpark half a quart in less than 1k miles).I took a peak under the car over the weekend and noticed oil was covering a good majority of the under carriage.(made it hard to see where it was coming from) I took some pics, and my initial thought was oil pan gasket, but I am wondering if the oil filter housing could be the cause of this mess, so I tried to see the side of the block from the engine bay, and I do see some oil there as well. Lets just hope I dont need both... :o  *vehicle is a 2003 330xi 135k 

CCV and VCG have been done (dealer repaired right before I bought it)

Price ranges from around 40 bucks to 300...I would imagine there is a certain dye needed for an oil leak, as opposed to an A/C leak...?
