New to this site and hopefully able to get some input. My 01 530i keeps overheating after several "thought to be the problem" fixes.

Including....

Radiator

Overflow resevoir tank that had a small crack

Coil packs

Fan Clutch

We have taken alot of time to bleed thinking thats the issue. Still no luck. A local shop said its a hsad gasket...but hopefully its something else that could be checked.

Thanks!!!!

Check the coolant tank pressure while running check spark plugs for discoloration.

Pressure rest the coolant system and leak test the cylinders.

Remember that you need to have the heater valve open (heater on hot) while bleeding the cooling system to prevent air from being trapped in the heater core.
