<![CDATA[1992 525it with an M30B35 Swap]]>Hey all!

Just traded my E30 for this guy:

So you're probably thinking... what the heck is so special about it?

Well, from the factory it was a 525it with an auto transmission; BMW didn't make E34 Wagons with the "big six" M30B35 motor. So one of the P.O's had to go through hell to swap it (yes, apparently its very hard to do on a 525it).

Whats done to it thus far:

Rebuilt M30B35 50k miles ago

Getrag 260/5 Manual trans

Brand new M5 Clutch

Brand new clutch master cylinder

brand new slave cylinder

Aluminum lightweight driveshaft

M5 Rear End

Wheel Studs

M5 LSD

Bilstein Shocks with H&R Springs

08 5 series wheels (Style 138 I believe)

Heavy duty sway bars front/rear

Poly Suspension bushings all around

Poly shifter bushings

Straight piped to an Eisenmann Muffler

I tried to buy one when I was 17. I went to move the seat farther back on the test drive..... it was already maxed out   :(

Later I thought I could own an S2000 since it is a little newer and larger..... nope. 

The E30 and MK1/MK2 VW  really are the smallest cars that I fit reasonably well in.

Upgrade the suspension and sticky tires and even more of a go cart. Not too fast in a straight line unless you go turbo/supercharger but a blast in the twistees. Give the haters a ride in the passenger seat and open their eyes.

One thing, drive it defensively like a motorcycle. People will not see you. I've had to dodge SUVs and semis. Put a set of freeway blaster horns on mine to wake up the idiots.

I even had the clutch partially in going down hill. I don't know what % lock my LSD is but holy shit...

Not to mention my tires aren't made for the snow or they don't have enough tread... minaswell be on ice!
