<![CDATA[M62 timing chain info]]>Does anyone have any experience with M62tu timing chains? I have only done M20 timing belts and I'm having trouble finding anything helpful on other forums. I assume it's going to be much more confusing because technology and VANOS. I ask because of this, http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/4169688667.html Would be a great deal if I could figure out what needs to be done and and how to do it. Also if anyone has a copy of the e39 Bentley manual, would you be able to scan the DIY for timing chain replacement and post them for me that would be much obliged.

From what I had gathered it was a difficult thing to do but I just wanted more specifics. The post was deleted so I guess it was sold anyways, wasn't able to make a move fast enough.

It's a whore of a job, and pretty expensive. A member on here recently did his car, I don't remember what his username is though. You need specialty tools as well.
