The main thing to look out for is the height that the steering rack would be mounted at in order to minimize bump steer.

Once the trans is out, taking out the engine isn't a whole lot more of work at that point. Especially if you just drop the subframe with the engine.

You're parts car is a manual correct? Taking the parts off that would teach you how to put it back on. I could give you a write up later tonight when I get home. Basically if you know how to change a clutch, thats a majority of the work.

You will need some decently tall jack stands either way.
