<p dir="auto">I got a JB Stik welder and need to weld a bracket together but dont want to breathe the fumes. All of the welding helmets ive seen might allow fumes to get through.  thoughts?</p>

Ive been welding for a long time (15+ year) and am only 1/3 retarded. If you are fabbing car parts you should be using mig(wire) oe tig, much cleaner. If you need any help let me know!</p>

<p dir="auto">Is that one of those fume extractors that you put that yellow cone over your mouth?  Ive never tried one personally, but it seems pretty full proof.  My only concern is if the cone is over your mouth, what protects your eyes from the fumes?!</p>

<p dir="auto">From what I have heard, the only way to keep the fumes out is to go through NASA for one of their suits.  Ive heard too many horror stories to risk trying that type of welding.  Good luck, post pics.</p>
